Simple ideas for enjoying our books together, and what to expect from them.

A green sky? A rainbow unicorn? Wonderful! Let your young artist choose. At our academy, imagination makes the rules.
Try “Tell me about your picture” or “How did you choose those colours?” There's no need to correct every wobbly line.
What might this unicorn be learning today? Who could be their best friend? Follow your child's ideas and see where the story goes.
Look out for our little cloud friend hiding throughout the book. Take turns spotting it, or give a gentle clue when it's playing particularly good hide-and-seek!
Enjoy a little colouring or a whole page. It's fine to stop, stretch and come back another day. Even unicorns need snack breaks.
Pencils and crayons are a lovely place to start. When using felt-tip pens, place a protective sheet behind the page, as ink can pass through the paper.
The best magic is making something that feels like yours.
Age guidance. Magical Unicorn Academy is made for children aged 4 to 8. Each book shows its age range clearly.
One picture per page. Pictures are printed on one side only, with bold outlines and big spaces to colour.
Your child's privacy. We never ask children for their details. Anything on this website that asks for information, such as our newsletter, is for grown-ups only.
